Got there on a Friday and left after spending a weekend here. It felt similar to Vegas in that a weekend was more than enough time :) Actually, I would have liked to have explored the outskirts of the city or even got out of the city, but simply ran out of time. I went to the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House, both of which are worth visiting without question. At that time, reviews of the Heineken Experience tour were pretty negative, so I skipped that tour that I initially thought would be fun. I made it to three “breweries” on this back packing trip (The Guinness Storehouse, Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan, and the Carlsberg Brand Store), so it wasn’t that big of a deal :)
For lodging I stayed in a St. Christopher’s Hostel when I was there, which was very conveniently located to just about everything.
